As a community club, our continued success is dependent on skilled and dedicated volunteers making their time available, and there are many ways members can get involved.
Volunteering is a great way to contributing to the community and make a difference. All members contribute and do their bit to share the load. There are many ways to get involved including doing a rostered duty, course marking, helping with events, Race Directing or sitting on the Committee of Management. The club is only as strong as its members.
Traralgon Harriers is a large club which provides many events, social activities and services to its members and the community. We always need people to help with races and social events, to set up or pack away, clean up, assisting the Race Directors with key roles such as marshalling or at drink stations, timing, being on the Media Team, etc. The club has a number of committees who are always looking for people to help.
Our events are all provided by volunteers which means we can keep the costs to a minimum and the events are well managed by runners for runners so they know what the participants need.
There are many opportunities for people to help out around the club, and members are valued and appreciated. Talk to a committee member to see how you can get involved.
